Feb 4, 2019: Elizabeth Raman, Senior Data Analyst at Home Depot, has been selected as the first woman to receive the AWESOME/MIT Advancing Women through Education (AWE) Scholarship. The MIT Center for Logistics and Transportation partnered with AWESOME to create the full-tuition scholarship for an early career woman entering the MIT master’s degree in supply chain management program. The award, valued at over $72,000 for the 2019-20 academic year, is the MIT SCM program’s first full-tuition scholarship offered exclusively to women candidates.
Due to the outstanding overall quality of the applicant pool, two additional finalists were selected as runners-up by the SCM admissions committee. Gaby Lamas from Johnson & Johnson and Victoria Brown from International Data Corporation will each receive half-tuition scholarships to attend the program.
